Titanium dioxide- a mineral (physical) filter – a compound that works by creating a protective layer that reflects or diffuses the sun’s rays. Their molecules are so large that they do not have the ability to penetrate into the epidermis, they form a protective film on the skin’s surface, a layer that is a barrier to UVB rays and parts of the UVA spectrum.
