Stearic acid– an organic chemical compound, belongs to saturated fatty acids. It acts as an emulsifier and emulsion stabilizer. In addition, it is used in cleaning preparations as a so-called degreasing substance that rebuilds the lipid barrier and partially inhibits lipid leaching from the stratum corneum.
