Glycerin– belongs to the group of humectants. It is a ingredients with moisturizing properties. It is a compound with the structure of a polyhydric alcohol. It has good penetrating properties, thanks to which it increases the transport of active ingredients into the skin. It is highly hygroscopic, therefore it effectively increases the ability to bind and retain water in the epidermis – these areas become more flexible, and water in the deeper layers of the skin is used to synthesize collagen and elastin fibers.
