Bromelain – a proteolytic enzyme (digesting proteins) obtained from the stem and pineapple fruit. Proteolytic enzymes, applied on the skin, dissolve dead, cornified cells of the epidermis, act only on the surface, do not penetrate deeper, which makes them very safe.
